WHY ANOTHER TAX?

The money assessed (very little per member) is guaranteed to come right back into our community, not downtown or across town where our community sees no tangible benefit from it. It is managed strictly and can only be used for local business enhancement purposes.

WHAT IS THE B.I.D.?

The Chatsworth Business Improvement District (the “B.I.D.”) is a nonprofit municipal corporation given the authority by local stakeholders in the primary Chatsworth business corridor to assess themselves in relatively small amounts for local business enhancement projects. Its operations are run by a community-elected Board of Directors and an Advisory Board appointed by the local Council office and is renewable yearly at the discretion of the Los Angeles City Council.
